You can still donate trade dollars to the people of Louisiana. Central Barter has set up an account for your trade dollar donations (Hurricane Katrina Donations). As soon as they are able to use it, the trade will be transferred to New Orleans through our national network. Central Barter is proud to welcome Harvey and Ethel Simpson to the staff of Central Barter. Harvey and Ethel both have many years of experience in the barter industry. Harvey will be signing new members and working with the media end of CBI due to his extensive experience in the advertising industry. Ethel will be the trade director for the media members as well as members signed up by Harvey. Ethel will also be assigned some of our existing members to help them with their bartering needs.
We are in the process of setting up a deal where we will be able to purchase restaurant certificates for $6.95 cash and $18.05 trade for a $25.00 certificate. These certificates are available for many restaurants in the Houston area, and across the country. I hesitated for quite awhile to do this because of the cash component, however all the members I have talked to say that it is better than nothing. As always, if we don’t like the deal we don’t have to buy them.
