Central Barter Bank
Message
from Central Barter:
I am sorry to say that Chuck Archer has left Central Barter to start his own trade exchange (Barter Headquarters). We will miss Chuck, and wish him the best of luck. Central Barter will deal with Barter Headquarters on a reciprocal basis, as we would any other barter company. However Chuck has no authority to make any deals, collect any monies, or in any way represent or speak for Central Barter, and any purchases must be approved by Jay.
As many of you know Renee had an operation last week and will be unavailable for a few weeks. We wish Renee a full and speedy recovery.
Renee and Red Seifert will be working on any new referrals we get in the month of May. For the month of May we will continue the increase the referral fee from 100 trade dollars to $300 trade dollars as we head toward 250 members.
There are 2 or 3 competing trade exchanges that have been contacting Central Barter Members about membership in their exchange. As I said to many of you several years ago, there is no reason not to belong to more than 1 exchange. It is similar to having a Master Card and an American Express. However I would say, “beware” and make sure they can deliver what they promise. Feel free to call me if you have any questions.
AVAILABLE
ON TRADE:
In San Antonio we have Fiesta Texas. We also have: signs and banners, hair design, heat and air services, eye care, tax services, handmade jewelry, a cardiologist, antiques, copier, fax and computer repair, a towing service, vacations, oriental rugs, magazine advertising, doctors, handyman services, advertising and credit card machines and much more. For more information on these as well as other members, contact you broker, or leave a message at the office and someone will call you with the information you need.
Why Does Barter Work:
Most companies have surplus inventory, unsold goods, or unused labor. For instance, if a hotel doesn’t sell out every room every day, or an airline doesn’t fill every seat on every flight, these are lost forever, and can’t be sold later. Magazines may barter to fill unsold advertising space. Restaurants use barter to keep wait staff working and happy during slow periods. Retail businesses may barter products to make space for new inventory. And the list goes on. Almost any business can use barter to benefit their bottom line in some way.
Remember: Always identify yourself as a Central Barter member before placing any order regardless of whether it is in person, or over the phone.
