        Volume 4         Number 10        October 1, 2004

Message from Central Barter:

I will be out of the office most of the month of October for medical reasons.  Please feel free to call Chuck Archer @ 281-642-7952, or Dick Erickson @ 713-515-1923 for any help you may need.

Nick’s Seafood and Steak Restaurant in the Woodlands has closed.  They will be reopening in a new location soon and we will advise where as soon as we know.

Due to an unforeseen situation High’s Flowers will be unable to accept trade until further notice.  We will let you know when this changes.

From the “NEW GUY” in town (Chuck Archer)

I would like to take this opportunity to say Hello, and say thanks to all of our members for making me feel so welcome.  As they say in Texas, I’m not from here, but I got here as quick as I could.

I have had the privilege of meeting several of you, and look forward to meeting and getting to know every member of Central Barter Bank, and learning more about your business, so I can assist you in identifying the opportunities to BARTER more, and keep your CASH.

It is my goal to take Central Barter Bank to a new level, and we have a great start at doing that.

We plan to:

First:  Bring our membership to 300 by January 2005.

Second:  Create more reciprocal accounts with other barter companies throughout the country, so members can use their barter money across the country.  Our first priority will be to obtain the products in Houston, and Texas.  However we will have the capability to satisfy needs on a national level.

Third:  We will be hiring office staff to assist you with your accounts.

Fourth:  Communication, Communication, and Communication.  I have to know your Needs, Wants, and Wishes in order to broker those transactions for you.   A NEED is something you have to have right away, WANTS are products or services you would like to have as soon as possible, and WISHES are Products or services that you would purchase if you could get them on barter.

I can use your assistance to take Central Barter Bank to the level that it can and will be!  Please take a few minutes and make me a list with needs, wants, wishes, products you wish to move, services you have to offer, and any referrals you may have to help me accomplish my job. E-Mail me at centralbarter@yahoo.com.  Or fax to 713-339-4675. I am available by phone between 8 A.M. through 6 P.M. Monday through Friday at 281-642-7952. Voice mail is always available at this number, and is checked daily.     “MAKE A LIST   MAKE A LIST”

I work off a priority list. For instance, if I have twenty members asking for hardwood floors, and one member asking for a dog trainer, the hardwood floors take priority. Meanwhile I am still looking for a dog trainer.

The approach that I take when bringing on new business owners, is partially determined by request, from present members. That way I am offering these new members immediate business. This gives me the leverage and the buying power to offer the new member, business today.

The best approach in expediting the growth of Central Barter Bank is having the ability to meet your requests. To further assist me in making this happen, your referrals open doors and lend visibility to our bank and your business. If you are aware of any business owner, looking to increase their business, make me aware of their name and phone number, so that I may contact them and add them to our member base. In appreciation, we offer a $100.00 trade referral fee for each of your referrals that open an account with Central Barter Bank.

In closing thanks for your time and assistance for the task at hand. I wish you all great health and wealth.

          From my desk to yours

Chuck Archer
